Phoenix, Arizona
For immediate release:
Citizens Alliance, a working group out of Phoenix, Arizona, is now
organizing an action to recall Senator John McCain of Arizona. The group
issued the following statement:
The Campaign to Recall John McCain begins NOW!
Senator McCain has consistently failed to represent the interests of the
State of Arizona and its citizens, all those who call this Great State
home.
Senator McCain has repeatedly introduced, cosponsored, and voted for
unConstitutional legislation, exhibited behaviour and commentary
embarrassing to the State and its Citizenry, and demonstrated his
incompetence and lack of knowledge on important issues.
He has intimidated anyone who has spoken out against his ways, with money
and secret maneuvering, and dominated the opposition through extreme
spending on campaigns and baseless attacks against his opponents.
With the losses of Ben Quayle and Kirk Adams during the primary season,
McCain has shown that his time atop the electoral process in Arizona is
now drawing to a close. These losses in important races by candidates
endorsed by Senator McCain show his vulnerability and indicate his power
as an endorsement machine is coming to an end. The extremely tight race
between McCain endorsee Jeff Flake and opponent Richard Carmona for the
junior Senate seat in Arizona is more evidence of the same.
NOW is the time to begin working to unseat this powerful symbol of all
that is wrong with Washington DC and power politics as usual.
We call on all voters in Arizona, and all American voters, to rise and
throw off his domination of our system.
Join us as we gather and work together to put an end to this
unConstitutional, Corrupt, Domineering symptom of the disease in
Washington D.C., known as Statism, and work together in freedom and unity
to end this divisive, corrupting influence of our system, to free our
State of his machine once and for all.
Citizens Alliance stands ready to do the hard work, and welcomes any who
would join us in this effort.
Visit the website at RecallMcCain.org and join the newsletter for further
information and organizing to defeat this menace.

Avis McCarthy says:
Are you people all crazy??? It’s so-called Republicans like you that give the party a bad name and en even worse reputation. Crawl back into your holes and leave politics to professional politicians like John McCain.
Philip Giffin says:
I think we can all agree that it’s the “professional politicians” that are the biggest problem with this country. Our Founders specifically did not want “professional career politicians”. They knew that power and influence would easily corrupt individuals, and they have been proven correct on countless occasions. They specifically called for citizen leaders to serve for short periods of time, then return to their jobs and lives. Politics should NEVER be a lifelong career.
We’ve seen what lifelong politicians have done for us. Nothing. They’ve served themselves for decades at the expense of the People’s well-being.
And it’s the party line mentality of “crawl back into your holes and leave politics to professional politicians like John McCain” that do a great disservice to the American People.
You may be happy being a mindless follower, Avis, and that is your right if you choose. I and many others, however, reject that mentality.
Recall McCain says:
Thank you for your concern, Avis. I am not a Republican. Your reply is self evident as to why the GOP is the slowest growing political party in the State. Independents make up a group that is very nearly as large as either the Republicans or Democrats, and independents are growing at several times the rate of either major party. The leadership of both parties, but especially the Republican Party, steadfastly condemn and attack their own membership, disregard the concerns of the PCs and delegates, and actively suppress the slightest form of dissent. Just like you, Avis.
Senator McCain himself is one of the main reasons that people want nothing to do with the GOP. He is obviously incompetent, uses the Constitution for a doormat, and as a veteran of ground combat in the United States Army I am personally offended by the way he treats his fellow veterans and ignores his constituency.
He is well known for his foul mouth, bad attitude and for sending out ridiculous form letters to respond to citizens who write to him with very real concerns. He is everything wrong with Washington DC in a nutshell.
I have shaken his hand and called him traitor to his face, and I will do it again when I get the chance.
